In a recent New York Times<\/em> article examining how extremist-aligned figures are being elevated to senior government positions, JCPA CEO Amy Spitalnick warned of the dangerous normalization of antisemitism and broader hate by political leaders.<\/p>\n

The piece highlights the nomination of Paul Ingrassia \u2014 who has promoted white nationalist and antisemitic conspiracy theories \u2014 to lead the U.S. Office of Special Counsel.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of the challenge is that in the last decade, there\u2019s not only been a normalization of this extremism by political leaders but a desensitization to it,\u201d said Amy Spitalnick, the chief executive of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, a coalition of advocacy groups. \u201cSo none of this should be surprising to anyone, even if it\u2019s still shocking.\u201d<\/p>\n
