This<br \/>\nrole is pivotal to advancing JCPA\u2019s mission through financial support and<br \/>\nexpanding the organization\u2019s donor base in order to support its critical<br \/>\nwork. The ideal candidate is strategic, outgoing, with a proven track<br \/>\nrecord in nonprofit development and a passion for social justice and Jewish<br \/>\ncommunal advocacy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About JCPA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since its founding 80 years ago, JCPA has served as the national convener<br \/>\nof Jewish coalitions working to build a just and inclusive democracy\u2014<br \/>\nbringing together national and local partners to address the issues that<br \/>\nmost deeply affect our community and advance our most essential values.<\/p>\n<p>Today, JCPA is mobilizing the robust community relations network and its<br \/>\npartners in pursuit of a more just and democratic society for all, rooted<br \/>\nin an abiding belief that Jewish security here and abroad is tied to the<br \/>\nhealth of our democracy and strong relationships between communities.<br \/>\nOnly by building bridges across lines of difference and fostering solidarity<br \/>\nbetween communities can we advance an inclusive future in which Jews \u2013 and<br \/>\nall people \u2013 are safe and free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and consultants to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Identify, cultivate, and solicit new and existing individual donors and foundations.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee grant writing and reporting processes to ensure timely submission and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Plan, coordinate, and support fundraising events, campaigns, communications, and special activities.<\/li>\n<li>Manage donor database (EveryAction) to track contributions and relationships, with support from the Administrative Coordinator.<\/li>\n<li>Create and manage donor marketing materials and collateral.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain regular communication with supporters through newsletters, updates, and personal outreach.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement donor stewardship and recognition strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with individual board members and program staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.<\/li>\n<li>Track grant-related metrics and produce reports for donors and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of three to five years\u2019 experience in nonprofit development or fundraising, preferably in advocacy, political, or social justice organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Proven success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and granting.<\/li>\n<li>Strong relationship-building and communications and writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing donor databases and CRM systems (some knowledge of EveryAction preferred).<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think strategically and work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Experience planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns.<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiastic team player with a collaborative approach.<\/li>\n<li>Passion for social justice, Jewish communal advocacy, and civic engagement; knowledge of Jewish communities, civil rights, and democracy issues a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation and Other Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position will be based in New York City or Washington, DC and report to the Chief of Staff.
